Why Gelpi Homes?

Building the Right Home

When you enlist Paul Gelpi to build your new home, you can rest assured that you are hiring a professional who knows his business. Once a contract has been signed, you will receive a selection chart with all of the decisions that need to be made along with a list of suppliers and allowances for you to consult when making your selection of fixtures and appliances, etc. Paul will start working on scheduling the construction and prepping the site. Throughout the process, Paul and Andree will solicit your decisions before needed to ensure that the home we build will make your dream home into a reality.

Communication is Key

Paul will meet with you to help you make the cost-critical decisions that must be made in order to keep a home within your original budget. Gelpi will work with you in two different ways. First, they can take a set of home plans (or refer you to an architect), help refine the details, and then provide traditional turnkey service. This means Gelpi oversees and manages the project from start to finish for a contracted price.

Project Management

The second method, is to provide a management service. This means that the project is based on a cost-plus a fixed fee and Gelpi Homes, Inc. will manage the construction effort for a weekly fee. In either case, you get the assurance of working with an experienced and knowledgeable builder. At the end of the day, you are left with a pleasureable experience and a quality home customized to your needs.

Highest Level of Quality

Gelpi Homes takes pride in every home as if he were building it for himself. Rest assured, a Gelpi Home will provide attention to detail, a high level of quality and the ability to go above and beyond for his client. Gelpi Homes schedules new work on a first come first serve basis.

Gelpi Homes - A Look Back

"Three Generations of Quality and Trust"

Building homes is all Paul Gelpi has ever known. Following in the footsteps of his grandfather, father and brother, Paul Gelpi, Jr., has been building homes his entire life. It’s the experience of three generations that makes him a premiere builder in both Orleans and Jefferson Parishes.

Paul is the principal of Gelpi Homes, Inc. and is assisted by his sister, Andree McArthur. Before its current incarnation, Paul’s grandfather and father operated under the name Robley Gelpi and Sons founded in 1958. It is the tradition that comes from a long history of building that inspires Gelpi Homes to put the extra time and effort ensuring every home they build is of the highest quality. It is the pride that comes from building to the same standards of his father and grandfather that has Paul and Andree personally supervising each and every home.

Behind the walls, Gelpi believes in using the best structural practices to ensure solid construction of every home. In an era when some builders will cut corners in order to save costs, Gelpi insists just the opposite is wiser. If costs need to be cut to meet the budget, use items that can easily be upgraded later. Walk in to any Gelpi built home ranging from $350,000 to over $2,000,000 and you’ll find the same high quality construction standards at a fair and competitive price. There is the same consistency of solid structural methods, high attention to detail, and exquisite craftsmanship.
